As a Data Engineer/Administrator (Snowflake/ETL), you will be responsible for data analysis and database management, ensuring the integrity and performance of our databases. You will engage in maintenance, enhancement, and the design of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning to support the Application Team effectively.

As a Data Engineer/Administrator (Snowflake/ETL), you will be responsible for data analysis and database management, ensuring the integrity and performance of our databases. You will engage in maintenance, enhancement, and the design of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning to support the Application Team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct data dictionary analysis and design, as well as data model analysis and design.
- Maintain the central data repository to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Support the application system development life cycle with relevant knowledge and experience.
- Manage data dictionary backup and recovery processes.
- Define and uphold standards for data dictionaries across the organization.
- Program and maintain software for dictionary analysis and maintenance.
- Perform performance tuning to optimize database efficiency.
- Monitor database performance and manage space requirements.
- Schedule and oversee end-of-day data warehousing jobs to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in coordinating software releases and communicate accurate status updates.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- Must have at least 5 years of experience with Snowflake.
- Proficiency in ETL processes and tools.
- Strong knowledge of database management utilities and production tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills to manage and report time spent on all work activities.
- Attention to detail in following quality standards.
- Proven ability to complete assigned tasks within set deadlines.
- Experience in monitoring and reporting on database performance.
- A collaborative mindset to engage with various stakeholders effectively.
