As a **Data Engineer I** , you will create, modify, and test the code, forms, and scripts that construct the data sets that drive our Data Engineering and Business Intelligence capabilities. You will develop and write solutions to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information and distribute through multiple methods and will perform basic ETL (extract, transform, load) processes.
**This will be a virtual/telecommuter position, working from home. However, you will be expected to align with Pacific standard working hours.**
**What you'll do:**
+ Develop, implement, and maintain data sets and extract, transform, load (ETL) scripts and processes. Use scripting skills to create data models and pipelines.
+ Work closely with other data professionals and business stakeholders to develop understanding of the needs, pace, and direction for our business partners. Translate these needs into requirements and specifications for data processes and tools.
+ Troubleshoot issues as they arise and solve problems independently and collaboratively.
+ Collaborate with data scientists and other analysts to further understand business problems.
+ Develop code to complete effective solutions using applicable technology.
**What you'll bring:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar area. **(Required)**
+ Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, relational database theory, and skills to utilize one or more programming languages. **(Required)**
+ Familiarity with healthcare specific regulatory requirements for data management.
+ Experience providing data integration services within healthcare organizations.
+ Knowledge of Tableau, SAS, R, and other analytic tools.
+ Functional understanding and ability to apply programming and scripting concepts skills across SQL-based and Python scripting technologies.
+ Ability to use Extract Transform Load (ETL) tools (SSIS, Data Stage).

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.
**National Salary Range:**
$67,800.00 - $98,400.00
**National Plus Salary Range:**
$67,800.00 - $112,200.00
_*National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska_ _._
