Responsibilities:GLOTECH, Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support the corporate office of United Parks & Resorts located in Orlando, FL. The Data Engineer will analyze, assemble and make available a high volume, variety, and velocity of data sets to help with data driven decision making.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy the required and optimal data services, structures, and overall solutions that meet the needs of the organization, including extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources into the appropriate data environments
- Ensure best practices for data architecture and data management are implemented including metadata management, data cataloging, observability/monitoring
- Work closely with data product owners, data analysts, and BI developers to ensure your data solutions meet their needs and preferences
- Work with business stakeholders and technology partners including application teams, infrastructure and security, as well as technology leadership
- BSc in Computer Science or relevant field
- Expert skill with Google Cloud, Big Query, Cloud Data Fusion, and other GCP related data technologies
- Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
- Expertise building and deploying data pipelines using CI/CD
- Expertise in SQL, familiarity with noSQL databases
- Expertise in GCP Big Query, Cloud Data Fusion, other GCP data technologies and On-prem SQL Server technologies
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Looker Pro, PowerBI, Tableau, D3.js and R)
- Problem-solving attitude
- Must be available to work onsite in Orlando, FL
