Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Engineer design and implement enterprise-scale data analytics solutions on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric. This role will play a key part in building and maintaining our data platform, ensuring data quality and accessibility for data-driven decision making across the organization.
This position will report to the Somerset NJ (HQ) or Austin TX office.

Responsibilities
Include but not limited to:
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including data engineers, data scientists, and AI engineers, to design and deploy enterprise-scale data analytics solutions on Azure and MS Fabric.
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines and API integrations for efficient data ingestion and processing.
- Transform raw data into reusable analytics assets using Microsoft Fabric components, including data lakes, warehouses, notebooks, dataflows, data pipelines, semantic models, and reports.
- Implement best practices for analytics within the Fabric platform, including version control and deployment.
- Partner with solution architects to ensure seamless integration of analytics solutions into broader architectural designs.
- Develop and maintain data quality frameworks and processes to ensure data accuracy and availability.
- Perform data analysis to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in resolution.
- Define data models, design data integrations, and evaluate open source and vendor tools for data lineage.
- Work closely with business units and engineering teams to develop a long-term data platform architecture strategy.
- Write unit/integration tests, contribute to engineering documentation, and document work effectively.
- Analyze and organize raw data, build data systems and pipelines, and prepare data for advanced analytics.
- Collaborate with data scientists and architects on various projects to interpret trends, conduct complex data analysis, and build prototypes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a similar role.
- Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining data solutions on cloud platforms like Azure.
Required Skills
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and tools, especially related to data analytics (Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Data Factory, etc.).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Fabric components, including data lakes, warehouses, notebooks, and data pipelines.
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Experience with schema design, dimensional data modeling, and managing data warehouse plans.
- Expertise in data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with API Management (preferred).
Additional Information
- The estimated annual pay range for this position is $100,000 - $170,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
