Job Title: Data Entry Clerk
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to assist with managing and organizing financial data. The role involves reviewing bank statements, categorizing transactions, creating and entering information into Excel spreadsheets with accuracy, and helping to track restaurant inventory records. The ideal candidate will ensure that all financial and inventory data is accurately recorded and easily accessible for reporting purposes. Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and organize bank statements to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Categorize and label transactions to assist with financial tracking.
- Enter financial data, including transaction amounts and account information, into Excel spreadsheets.
- Ensure all entries are complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
- Assist in maintaining financial records and providing support for reporting needs.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure smooth data management.
- Identify discrepancies in financial data and work to resolve them.
- Track and update restaurant inventory records accurately.
- Generate basic financial or inventory reports as needed.
Qualifications:
- Basic to intermediate experience with Excel, including data entry, organizing data, and using formulas.
- Ability to create and manage spreadsheets for tracking financial data and inventory.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to organize large amounts of data in a clear and concise manner.
- Familiarity with accounting software or other data management tools is a plus.
- Experience with QuickBooks is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in accounting or business administration is a plus.
Experience:
- Previous experience in data entry or bookkeeping is highly desirable.
Working Conditions:
- Environment: Office setting with standard office equipment.
- Hours: Full-time position, typical business hours with occasional overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Occasionally required to lift and move office supplies and equipment.
