Job Overview
The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and managing data related to communication networks and utility infrastructure operations. The role is crucial in maintaining data integrity for the company’s services, including fiber optic, broadband, and utility lines. The ideal candidate should possess a keen eye for detail, be comfortable with handling large volumes of technical data, and work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Accurately input, update, and verify data related to communication networks, utility lines, installation projects, service orders, and maintenance records.
• Maintain comprehensive records of equipment installations, network configurations, work orders, and customer service requests.
• Conduct regular reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of all records.
• Identify and rectify data inconsistencies, errors, or missing information in the system.
• Ensure all data meets company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with field technicians, engineers, and customer service teams to gather and verify data.
• Assist in preparing reports and documentation for internal teams, regulatory bodies, and client submissions.
• Organize and maintain both digital and physical records, ensuring easy retrieval and proper archiving.
• Generate and distribute regular and ad-hoc reports based on project updates, service data, and customer satisfaction metrics.
Qualifications and Skills
• Education:
o High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience:
o Prior experience in data entry, preferably in communications, utilities, or a related industry.
o Familiarity with telecommunications systems, broadband networks, or utility infrastructure is a strong advantage.
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data management software.
o Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing large datasets.
o Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for working with various departments.
o Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
o Ability to work both independently and within a team.
