Sherloq Solutions is seeking a Systems Administratorto be responsible for providing operational and general administrative IT support including server administration, equipment setup and deployment, break-fix, equipment lifecycle management, and Major Incident resolution including both centralized and local technical support of advanced voice, desktop, server, LAN, WLAN, VLAN, and WAN technologies. Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to Company standards, policies, and security requirements.The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working in a distributed environment working with local and geographically distributed team members and teams. The scope of activities include but, are not limited to technological production systems service and support and those activities associated with such Production Systems (network, telephony, laptops, desktops). Additional responsibilities include technology lifecycle replacements, technical skills development, operational effectiveness, management of day-to-day tasks and assignments, and participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24x7 coverage for the production environment.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Systems Administrator's role is to configure, maintain, and monitor applications, systems, and end-user computers/equipment to ensure a high level of availability and integrity of our systems. Participate in the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system access and provisioning is consistent with industry best practices.
Essential Functions
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data that are part of our internal and external systems
- Manage all aspects of the physical infrastructure such as servers, switches, access points, firewall, etc
- Run disaster recovery procedures, backup jobs, and antivirus updates
- Create and update systems procedures
- Install, configure, upgrade, and support Windows and Linux servers and clients
- Provide end-user computer hardware and software support to local and remote users provide backup support as volume and schedules require
- Assist in the implementation of new technologies as business needs identified
- Monitor and manage software licensing compliance
- Manage hardware inventory, including overseeing semiannual inventory counts at all locations. Assist with imaging and deployment of computer hardware when needed
- Respond to help desk calls as needed
- Suggest areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
Competencies/Skills
- Experience working in the debt collection industry preferred. (Significant experience in call center, healthcare, or financial services at a leadership level maybe considered in lieu of debt collection experience)
- Advanced knowledge of debt collections regulatory compliance requirements, including state and federal consumer protections and debt collection licensing rules, regulations and laws.
- Intermediate knowledge of call center / debt collection technology solutions including collection software and dialers
- Must have ability to prioritize workload, handle multiple projects and be able to work with operations to streamline processes to optimize efficiency, compliance and the consumer experience
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization from front line representatives to executives and to Clients
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 2+ years' of experience in the debt collection, call center, or healthcare/financial services industry
- 3+ years' of experience working as a Systems Administrator
- 3+ years' experience with several of the following: Windows Servers, Linux Servers, Microsoft Office, Cisco switches, VMWare, VLAN setup, Nimble SAN's, WatchGuard Firewall maintenance, PCI security compliance, Titan SFTP, Microsoft SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Crystal Reports, Intersystems Cache, FACS (Flexible Automated Collection System), SNMP server monitoring, VEEAM backup, Asterisk PBX, Informa ImageQuest, Barracuda spam filter, Barracuda web filter, and scripting with batch, VBScript and PowerShell
- 3+ years' experience managing networking technologies and Active Directory
Must pass a drug test and a pre-employment background check
