What you're applying for
We're looking for a resourceful and organized Statistical Reporting Business Analyst to join the Compliance team, reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer.
You will work across different products and teams to ensure that complete and accurate data can be provided to satisfy regulatory and statistical reporting requirements for multiple insurance companies and MGA's. Your proficiency in analyzing, transforming, and structuring data will help us meet our overall compliance objectives and internal business reporting needs.
In this role you'll...
- Create statistical and financial reports required by state insurance departments for the Warrior Insurance Group companies
- Complete and submit assigned NISS, TICO, NAIC, state, and annual verifications
- Research and analyze complex regulatory bulletins
- Facilitate written, verbal, and in-person interactions with insurance regulators and examiners
- Support audits, data calls, market conduct examinations, and other matters
- Provide statistical reporting guidance to colleagues and other third-party providers
- Create and support internal business reports for Accounting, Claims, Underwriting, Marketing, and Product Analysis.
- Work under the guidance of an experienced analyst to revamp, maintain and extend existing applications and create new ones from scratch.
What you'll need...
- 4+ years personal auto P&C insurance experience
- BS in Computer/Data Science/Accounting Systems or equivalent work experience
- Expert knowledge of SQL, ability to configure and integrate multiple data sources
- Advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills
- Advanced MS Access skills and/or willingness to use MS access as an integration and end user application tool via pass through queries to multiple SQL Server and Redshift DB's
- Experience with Looker and LookML is a plus
- Technical insurance knowledge and a general understanding of insurance company operations for Personal Auto
- Experience with business intelligence software/analytics platforms
- Demonstrated success in communicating, prioritizing, and delivering on deadline
- Ability to work in an office environment or remote
