About the Role:
The Data Science Senior Manager will lead a quantitative analytics team, focusing on model development, validation, and maintenance. This strategic role will involve setting team priorities, defining tasks for optimal resource utilization, and leveraging team strengths to exceed expectations. You will own modeling practices and influence data strategy, utilizing both current and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic consultation to senior/executive-level business partners.
- Anticipate business partner needs and drive high-quality deliverables aligned with business priorities.
- Influence data sourcing strategy and identify emerging industry trends and technologies.
- Coach and develop team members in technical skills and promote group capabilities.
- Collaborate across all organizational levels, advising and influencing for organizational impact.
- Develop holistic strategies that align with business priorities and interdependencies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, financial engineering, data sciences, predictive modeling, or related fields with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
Required Skills:
- Data Literacy: Ability to influence data sourcing strategies and lead discussions on applications with senior leadership.
- Technology & Techniques: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL/NoSQL, advanced coding in Python/R/SAS, and understanding of cloud and distributed computing.
- Model Building & Maintenance: Ability to establish modeling standards, coach others on data modeling, and communicate complex observations to non-technical audiences.
