Job Description: Knowledge Management, Inc. is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support our U.S. Marine Corps customer. This remote position will focus on analyzing and interpreting complex logistics data, developing data dashboards / visualization tools, and responding to requests for information to provide actionable insights that support operational decision-making and improve overall logistics performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret U.S. Marine Corps logistics data, utilizing advanced data science methodologies.
- Develop and implement data models to optimize supply chain and logistics operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven solutions to operational challenges.
- Create dashboards and reports using tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau to communicate key findings.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security in line with Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analytics and process automation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in operations research, Data Analytics, or a similar field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with U.S. Marine Corps logistics data and data analytics.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on logistics and supply chain management.
- Must hold an active DoD Secret security clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with advanced data modeling techniques and machine learning algorithms.
- Familiarity with military logistics systems and databases.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
Security Clearance:
- Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
Work Environment:
- Remote (work from home) position, supporting MCLB Albany, GA.
