One Federal Solution (OFS) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to support the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communications Disorders (NIDCD). This role will involve providing independent support services for the Section on Sensory Cell Biology at the Porter Neuroscience Research Center. The primary focus will be on data migration, harmonization, and bioinformatics analysis to advance research initiatives in sensory cell biology.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the current state of clinical data and develop strategies to migrate data while ensuring data integrity.
- Execute data migration strategies and perform post-migration validation to confirm successful transfer.
- Identify and address discrepancies and variations in data formats across different datasets.
- Develop and implement data harmonization protocols to standardize clinical datasets for research purposes.
- Utilize bioinformatics tools and techniques to analyze clinical datasets.
- Collaborate with clinical researchers to interpret and present findings.
- Apply machine learning and data mining techniques to extract patterns and insights from clinical data.
- Perform statistical analyses to validate findings and ensure the robustness of results.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of methodologies, processes, and protocols.
- Generate regular reports summarizing activities related to data migration, harmonization, and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and clinical standards in data handling and reporting.
- Provide training on new database systems and data analysis tools to clinical and research staff.
- Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for database and bioinformatics-related issues.
- Develop user guides and training materials to facilitate knowledge transfer.
Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in a related discipline. (Alternatively, a Master's degree with 3 years of specialized experience or a BA/BS degree with 5 years of specialized experience is considered equivalent to a Ph.D.)
- Strong computational, bioinformatics, and statistical skills, with a clinical research background.
- Ability to learn new software quickly, apply critical thinking, and solve complex problems independently.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, time management, and communication skills, both oral and written
