Summary:
As a Data Scientist, you will collaborate on a wide array of product and technical problems with a diverse set of cross-functional partners across Product, Engineering, Research, Data Engineering, Finance and others. Your core role will be to influence the long term strategy of the organization, helping product and engineering understand where to invest and focus. You will use data and analysis to identify and solve product developmentās biggest challenges. Our team develops a suite of products that use new advancements in generative AI to enhance how Meta users socialize, play, learn, and connect on the platform. Some of our popular products are AI Studio (just launching now), Imagine, MEmu, and many more in development.
Required Skills:
Data Scientist, Gen AI Responsibilities:
1. Define, understand, and test opportunities and levers to improve the product, and drive roadmaps through your insights and recommendations.
2. Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches.
3. Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and the presentation of data to develop strategies for our products that serve billions of people and hundreds of millions of businesses.
4. Identify and measure success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring of key product metrics to understand trends.
5. Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy and investment decisions.

6. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
7. 7+ years of work experience leading analytics work in IC capacity, working collaboratively with Engineering and cross-functional partners, and guiding data-influenced product planning, prioritization and strategy development.
8. Experience working effectively with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including Engineering, PM/TPM, Analytics and Finance.
9. Experience framing and communication skills.
10. Intellectual curiosity and drive, decisiveness, with ambiguity and complexity.

11. Masters or Ph.D. Degree in a quantitative field.
12. Experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, and experimentation/causal inference methods.
Public Compensation:
$206,000/year to $281,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
