The Job
As a Data Scientist II on the WBD Experimentation Data Science team, this individual will leverage large datasets to extract insights and guide decision-making throughout the full lifecycle of product development for our streaming platform, MAX. You will be responsible for setting up best practices around experiment design and advanced analysis. You will work with product stakeholders from various areas in the video streaming business including search personalization, merchandising and growth. Your work will be essential to drive growth for MAX and come join us if you are passionate about video streaming platform and analytics!
The Daily
- Support the design, monitor and deep dive analysis of A/B tests in various business settings. Work end to end with product stakeholders from idea initiation, experiment design/monitoring to sharing results analysis for decision making.
- Study and fully understand WBD data sources and develop metrics for measuring platform performance in A/B tests.
- Write efficient queries to pull data for KPIs and metrics to diagnose changes observed in experiments and work with engineering and product partners to resolve potential issues.
- Perform advanced statistical tests to real world A/B test datasets to measure impacts of new product features.
- Apply causal model to investigate cause-effect relationship between KPIs and key product changes.
- Perform research to acquire best in class data science techniques and best practices to improve the rigor and efficiency in product experimentation.
- Capture business requirements for data science solutions and communicate data science output and recommendations to inform business strategies.
- Present analysis to business partners and senior leadership and make product launch recommendations.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $109,200.00 - $202,800.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
