Overview
Responsible for the design/development, modification, and implementation of models for detection, identification, classification, and regression.
Key Responsibilities
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Meet with stakeholders to define solutions
- Collaborate heavily with other Data Scientists, Software, Operations, and other engineering departments to creates solutions to In-Inspection problems
- Design, build and deploy software in a production environment
- Assist and collaborate on problems of varying complexity with direction from more senior engineers
- Development of models/software from: concept, design, unit testing, code reviews, to life cycle support
- Propose and implement performance optimizations and scaling strategies
- Review existing models and propose improvements
- Requires annotation, cleaning, and technical support for any related data utilized while developing software/models
- Estimate development durations and meet deadlines
- Plan and track projects using Agile methodology and designated project software
- Represent TDW at industry events
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science or related field or equivalent indstry experience
- 0-3 years experience with object-oriented programming, test driven development, and software development life cycle
- 0-3 years experience with MS Visual Studio development environment
- 0-3 years experience with C++
- 3-5 years experience with Python
- 3-5 years experience with Regression Analysis
- 3-5 years experience with Signal Processing
- 3-5 years experience with Machine Learning Models for detection/classification
- 3-5 years experience with In-Line Inspections technologies required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Good Customer Service Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Python, specifically PyTorch, Tensorflow, Boost, Neural Networks, and/or Scikit-learn
- Requires excellent understanding of In-Line Inspection Technologies such as Magnetic Flux Leakage, Geometric tools, Mapping (Inertial Navigation Systems), EMAT, or other applicable technologies
