Data Scientist Iii - Intellisource

Work with a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers to develop and deploy GenAI applications supporting Walmart's finance department. Build state-of-art LLM models by training with massive amount of Walmart data utilizing open-source or in-house tools.

We use a hybrid way of working that is primarily in the office coupled with virtual when not onsite. What you'll do:

• Collaborate closely with business teams to identify opportunities and translate requirements into innovative technical solutions.
• Lead the design and development of generative AI solutions, utilizing established techniques and creating custom algorithms when necessary.
• Work closely with engineers and platform architects to integrate and deploy robust ML applications and systems.
• Stay at the forefront of data science and machine learning advancements by continuously exploring and evaluating new technologies and methodologies.
• Conduct advanced analyses to provide recommendations on the applicability and efficiency of product features.

What you'll bring:

• Strong knowledge of retail and one or more business practices across domains such as product, finance, marketing, technology, and business systems.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
• Experience with large dataset mining tools and open-source programming tools (e.g., R, Python).
• Expertise in solving optimization problems using integer programming.
• Ability to deconstruct abstract problems, formulate hypotheses, and conduct detailed analyses.
• Experience navigating ambiguity and building rapid business cases/prototypes.
• Hands-on experience with analytics and reporting tools such as Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery), Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.

Compensation and Benefits:

• The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $180,000
• Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
