We are looking for a dynamic Data Visualization Lead to join our team! The Data Visualization Lead oversees the overall function and operation of the Data Visualization team. The Lead provides the team with clear direction, context, guidance, and resources and confirms that all client deliverables are within scope, meet client needs, and demonstrate progress toward identified metrics. This position will also assist the KM Operations Manager with administrative tasks and strategic planning, supporting the Data Analytics team.
In addition, the Data Visualization Lead serves as the primary liaison with clients for any dashboards built using Power BI. This includes understanding client needs, explaining what is technically possible, and ensuring clear communication between the client and technical teams. The Lead should possess technical skills in Power BI development and the ability to effectively communicate with clients to translate complex data insights into actionable visuals.
Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Serve as the main point of liaison for clients regarding Power BI dashboards and visualizations
- Understand client requirements and communicate technical possibilities and limitations
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and ensure the team delivers on those specifications
- Track project progress, including early identification of risks and associated mitigation strategies
- Act as the lead and liaison between the KM Project/Operations Manager and other strategic decision-making groups
- Act as a subject matter expert in Power BI, able to perform advanced dashboard development when required
- Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to ensure that the data models and underlying data structures are optimized for dashboard performance
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise in Power BI reports and dashboards
- Serve as the primary point of contact to resolve risks/issues identified by other team members, escalating as necessary
- Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the team’s initiatives, using metrics and feedback to drive innovation and continuous improvement efforts
- Serve as a trusted advisor to KM Project/Operations Manager
- Assume ownership and responsibility for assigned actions and/or tasks
People Management
- Manage and develop the team, including setting clear expectations, providing feedback, identifying opportunities for growth, and providing recognition for contributions and collaboration beyond expected job responsibilities
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a supervisor of people and/or project leader in a multi-level or matrixed organizational structure
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a client-facing role supporting government contract(s) and/or in a corporate environment
- Minimum 3 years of leading the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the desired goals
- Advanced Experience with of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Power Apps, and SharePoint
- Experience with project management applications, such as Asana, Jira, Microsoft Project, etc.
- Able to obtain a minimum of NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries) for a Veterans Affairs Public Trust Clearance
- 7+ years of experience performing similar tasks with BS/BA
- 5+ years of experience performing similar tasks with MS/MA
- 2+ years of experience performing similar tasks with PhD

CATHEXIS offers competitive compensation packages to all eligible employees. Our goal is to provide a compensation package that reflects the value you bring to our team, is competitive with national average market rates, and promotes your financial security and personal well-being. The annual salary range for this role is $112,000 - $140,000. Please note that the salary information provided is a general guideline. CATHEXIS considers various factors in its final offer, including location, qualifications, experience, and skills.
