What you will be doing:
In this role, you will be part of the Division of Public Health's Data Modernization Initiatives team.
The team is responsible for modernizing the Department of Health, Division of Public Health databases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Microsoft SQL Server administration
- Database design and optimization
- Database service continuity, reliability, and availability design

This position has been identified as appropriate for hybrid telework. The selected individual must maintain residency in Anchorage, Alaska, and be prepared to report to the office one day per week. Our offices are located at 3601 C St.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Skills in entity relationship diagramming
- Knowledge of database design and optimization
- Understanding of data warehousing and cloud-based database technologies
- Solid abilities in database service continuity, reliability, and availability design
- Knowledge of current best practices in Microsoft SQL Server administration
