About the Job
- Provision layer 1 network connection and perform basic level testing to confirm first hop connectivity
- Ensure all datacenter resources are properly monitored, accessible, and provide automated alerting when things go wrong
- Perform intermediate level in troubleshooting of OS & network issues
- Keep track of rack level space & power utilization and capture data in a centralized location
- Perform daily visible inspection and proactively inform issues to the relevant asset owners
- Create and maintain detailed and comprehensive documentation and diagrams
- Coordinate vendor visits for project & part replacements
- Track & maintain logs for hardware arrival & dispatch in/out of the data center
- Label & document data center assets in a centralized location and keep it up to date
- Keep track of rack level space & power utilization and capture data in a centralized location
- Manage hot spares for all production hosts & services
- Manage stock of basic day to day use assets like cables, connectors, labels, cables ties, etc.
- Help maintain hardware warranty and support level agreements for production hardware
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience working in a complex mission critical data center environment
- Working knowledge of datacenter, network, and compute deployments at scale
- Working knowledge of SNMP, rPDUs, UPS systems, BMS systems, etc.
- Demonstrable programming and/or scripting skills with python, bash
- Excellent time management and communication skills are absolute musts
- Should have intermediate level knowledge of networking concepts, topology & protocols
- Should have intermediate level system admin skills in managing Windows & Linux systems
- Should have experience in creating & maintaining setup diagrams, system hand-over, inventory & spares management documentation
- Experience managing hardware install, troubleshooting & parts replacement tasks
- Ability to step up and take ownership to bring complex tasks to completion
- Available for off-hour & weekend maintenance activities
- Should have intermediate level system admin skills in managing Windows & Linux systems
- Work in a noisy environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
