Job Summary
- The Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) Developer supports the organization's enterprise information management program by analyzing, designing, and developing highly complex ETL processes in support of the data warehouse and/or operational data stores,and/or B2B commerce. This position collaborates with the team to understand project requirements and contribute to the project solution. This role troubleshoots development and production issues as required.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop integration solutions in support of the master data management, data warehouse, business intelligence, and B2B programs. Determine the appropriate design for integration applications based on information gathered including data sources, data targets, data definitions, data relationships, and business rules. Write, test, and deploy integration processes and functions using IBM DataStage/QualityStage.
- Develop procedures to automate business rules and data quality processes. Ensure solutions adhere and conform to business requirements, data integrity standards, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Identify and recommend new areas for data quality improvement through error detection and correction. Create, measure, and monitor the effectiveness of data quality automation processes and make recommendations to improve the maintainability, data integrity, and overall effectiveness of the processes.
- Provide daily support, maintenance, and issue investigation and resolution for existing front and back-end integration processes. Monitor error logs, identify trends, and proactively respond to risks to ensure the highest levels of system uptime and performance. Troubleshoot, escalate, track, and close issues with the software vendor when necessary.
- Participate in project planning sessions, review requirements and functional specifications, provide recommendations on solution design and capabilities, and prepare status reports for project deliverables. Produce detailed documentation on design, configuration, and implementation approach.
