We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled individual to join our team as a Permanent Day Shift Production Support in the Manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals and contribute to the growth and success of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of production support, including new hire interviews, plant tours, new hire onboarding, timecard approvals, disciplinary actions, safety meetings, and inventory control. This role requires a dedicated individual who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct new hire interviews and facilitate the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
2. Lead plant tours for visitors, clients, and potential business partners, effectively showcasing our operations and commitment to quality.
3. Approve timecards and manage employee attendance records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
4. Handle disciplinary actions as necessary, maintaining professionalism and fairness at all times.
5. Organize and lead safety meetings, promoting a culture of safety within the workplace and ensuring all employees are up-to-date with safety protocols and procedures.
6. Oversee inventory control, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and management of materials and finished products.
7. Collaborate with other team members and departments to streamline operations and improve productivity.
8. Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
9. Continuously evaluate and improve production processes, implementing changes as necessary to increase efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in production support or a related role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in new hire interviews, plant tours, new hire onboarding, timecard approvals, disciplinary actions, safety meetings, and inventory control.
3. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization.
5. Outstanding problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
6. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Proficiency in using inventory management software and other relevant computer systems.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. A strong commitment to promoting a culture of safety within the workplace.
10. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
