Salary Range: Experience based pay starting at $18/hr

What will I do in this role with Garden Spot?
As a DayBreak Program Coordinator, supporting the Garden Spot Communities' mission will include the following responsibilities:
- Supervises and coordinates the volunteers. Helps orient staff, volunteers, and students.
- Helps to develop, implement, and manage daily programs for individual program participants. This includes participating in the care planning process.
- Create and distribute activity materials, including calendars, newsletters, bulletin boards and menus.
- Builds professional relationships with participants' families and communicates necessary information effectively.
- Leads or delegates program activity leadership to program assistants.
- Provides personal care and directly interacts with participants.
- Assist with dining services by finalizing menus and sharing with families to allow participants to select their lunch. May also include taking participant lunch orders, taking food temperatures, serving/cleanup of meals.
- Assists with taking incoming inquiry calls, conducts tours, and provides all applicable program information to prospective clients
- Works closely with activities team members from other care areas of the community.
What do I need for this role with Garden Spot?
- Bachelor's Degree or two years' experience in Human Services field, along with skills to work with aging adults and adults with functional impairment.
- Proficient in reading, writing, grammar, interpersonal relationships and communication skills. Able to carry out a therapeutic activity program. Able to provide initial management and program supervision.
- Proficient in basic computer skills. Willing and able to learn new software programs
- Valid First Aid and CPR certifications and driver's license.
