POSITION SUMMARY:The main function of this position is to work the shipping spurs department by locating and distributing pallets of merchandise to assigned shipping spur.
INTERACTION:
· Interaction with other associates and leads in the department.
· Some interaction with other individuals within the distribution center and company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
· Follow the SOP of the Shipping area to ensure all processes and procedures are executed in a timely and efficient manner.
· Scan the shipping label and move box to the pallet location as designated by signage.
· Maintain the shipping spurs good and bad pallet areas.
· Ensure damaged cartons are removed and fixed prior to sorting to individual store pallet location.
· Maintain cleanliness of area to meet CAPS requirements.
· Perform other duties as required.

· May be required to perform other processing functions or to move to other departments to work, based on business needs.

· Must be able to stand during the entire assigned shift.

· Must have full hand and arm usage to perform essential job functions.
· Must be able to lift, push, pull and up to 50 lbs. necessary to distribute orders.
· Must be able to use stairs to complete essential functions where the department is located.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate logically and clearly in a group or individual setting.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to changing work requirements.
- Desire for career advancement in the organization.
- Accurately complete simple math tasks such as counting and adding.
· Must be able to use assigned equipment and tools to complete job responsibilities.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
· Annual performance appraisal administered by the respective supervisor.
· Attainment of annual goals established between supervisor and incumbent.
