POSITION SUMMARY:The HR Administrator position is responsible to support the Distribution Center Operations team. Provide guidance and collaboration on all associate relations, talent development and recruiting efforts. Consistently model the Bealls Family Values and act as a cultural ambassador for all associates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for executing daily associate relations tasks, such as but not limited to: FMLA, Timekeeping, Termination Process, Recognition Programs, Associate Concerns.
· Responsibility for investigating all Logistics employee relations cases, in accordance with BI Policy. Partners with BI HR team on a regular basis to discuss employee relations cases.
· Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of associates, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. In partnership with the HRD, ensure that all Logistics HR policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and continue to reflect both up-to-date employment law and BI policy.
· Lead regular HR workshops and/or trainings to provide all leaders with information on latest employment law changes and how these will impact on their management responsibilities and existing policies and procedures.
· Support employee engagement processes by partnering with the Operations team on retention programs.
· Conduct Associate Survey(s) and analyzing data, benchmarking year on year and production of an Action Plan to address any areas of concern for executive approvals.
· Responsible for building associate recognition processes and to design an effective associate recognition program for tenure and performance.
· Guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
· Actively manage direct reports, individual development plans, annual reviews, and regular one on one meetings to ensure that the HR team provides a high level of customer service at all times.
· Oversees exit interviews with employees leaving the company to assess overall success of employment relationship and opportunities for improvement.
· Manages company’s responses to unemployment claims and develops training to ensure successful results.
· Collaborate with Operations management team on a weekly basis to discuss associate relations concerns, associate engagement, retention/attrition concerns and staff development.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises HR Generalist and Coordinators on a daily basis through activities including (but not restricted to) hiring, motivating, delegating, promoting, counseling and coaching, performance appraisals and pay-rate reviews; scheduling and termination.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field
· SHRM-CP, or PHR preferred
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in human resources or related field.
· Excellent working knowledge of employment law with the ability to apply it practically to workplace situations
· Understanding of HR best practices and ability to apply this to employee relations cases
· Experience of formal report writing for different audiences
· Management or Supervisory experience
· Experience of performance management and working within defined policies and procedures
· Experience of working in a Distribution Center or Retail environment preferred
· Bilingual Spanish/English
· High level skills of using technology and Microsoft Office packages
· Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between work sites.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
