DC Shipping Assistant Supervisor - ManpowerGroup

Our client in Sumner, Wa is seeking a Distribution Center Shipping Assistant Supervisor to join their team. As an Assistant Supervisor, you will be supporting the Distribution Center. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and a Team Player attitude. This will align successfully with the organization. Job Title: Shipping Assistant Supervisor Location: Sumner, WA Pay Range: $29/hour Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:45 am - 7:30pm What's the Job? + Assist in training, assigning, and directing work. Assist in addressing complaints and resolving employee issues. + Assist in the supervision and coordination of the functions of departments in an orderly manner to achieve the highest possible levels of accuracy and productivity. + Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment, maintaining the security of the Distribution Center. + Ensure outbound shipments and products are accurate and free of damage. + Coordinate activities related to shipping, picking, and packing of inventory and non-inventory items. Assist with any inventory corrections needed as discovered throughout the workday. What's Needed? + Able to work overtime as needed. + Able to meet deadlines. + Excellent attendance record required. + High School or GED + 2+ years of experience in a leadership position in a warehouse environment + Ability to effectively communicate with and lead co-workers + Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in order to accurately complete job tasks. + Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
