Positions in theEDL Systems Engineering (SE) Analystwork under general supervision of a EDL SE Senior (Sr) Analyst. Employees are assigned duties to perform desktop, network operations, and technical support. In this role, employees are assigned tasks that involveresolving issues that consist of technical and customer support nature. To provide timely and efficient service, the EDL SE Analyst must apply sound business practices, appropriate technical solutions, and a creative approach to satisfying customer needs.
This role also manages the creation and deletion of File Shares, Home Directories and permissions, User Group, computer and email accounts in the state’s enterprise environment.The EDL SE Analyst installs, configures, secures, and upgrades non-core software products.This roleensures the integrity of the end-user environment, proactively address service issues, and implements automation routines.
The EDL SE Analyst serves as the second level of support for incidents, provides training and mentoring to less experienced team members as needed. The EDL SE Analyst handles incidents that impacts one agency’s multiple sites and executes large projects and process changes for agencies that the EDL SE Sr Analyst designed and assigned.

- Network and Subnet Management Solutions
- Virtual Desktop and Application Infrastructure (VDI) Support
- Network Support/Troubleshooting
Selective Requirements must be met in addition to the job requirements. Applicants who do not possess the selective requirement will not be qualified.
- Applicant must possess a high school diploma or GED.
Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met.
- Possess an associate degree with emphasis in Computer Science, Information Systems, I/T discipline or a related field.
- A minimum of one year of experience with reading\writing PowerShell Scripts with a focus on Active Directory and Windows Server\Win10 Operating Systems
- A minimum of two years of experience building and deploying silent installations using software deployment tools
- A minimum of two years of experience working in Windows/LINUX/Mac OS environments
- A minimum of two years of experience in Desktop and application virtualization – VMWare, VDI & Citrix
- A minimum of two years of experience in writing SQL queries
- A minimum of two years of experience in the methods and techniques for installing, configuring, securing and upgrading software products
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
- Possess a minimum of one year of experience working in a Desktop Support environment utilizing and IT Service Management (ITSM) tool.
- Possess a minimum of four or more years of technical experience in two or more of the core technical requirements and related product support in a 24x7 operational environment. Experience should include installation and configuration, securing, version testing, debugging, installation of patches, direct technical vendor interactions, tuning and disaster recovery. Specific technical components and/or skills are preferred for each of the Technology Domains listed below:
- End-User Support and Management
- Endpoint Support, Management and Security Solutions
- File, Print and Terminal Service Management
- Subnet Management Solutions
- Virtual Desktop and Application Infrastructure (VDI) Support
- Network Support/Troubleshooting
- Possess a minimum of one year of experience working with Microsoft Office Applications and collaboration tools.
- Possess good communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
