Responsibilities:
• Assist in fostering a guest focused environment. Train and ensure team greets all guests, presells, upsells, and suggestive sells required items.
• Ensure Deli Associates perform responsibilities per their job description.
• Ensure staff has knowledge of all product offerings and promotions.
• Ensure food is fresh, appealing, and of excellent quality for the guests.
• Manage program in accordance with Department of Health and Company Standards.
• Manage food cost and all controllable expenses that affect profitability of food service operation.
• Order product and perform accurate inventory counts per company procedures.
• Create and adhere to production charts and planograms per company standards.
• Conduct daily and weekly safety inspections of food service equipment to ensure optimal operation conditions at all times.
• Inspect displays for neatness and customer appeal. Ensure all authorized signs are displayed.
• Monitor and correct delivery procedures to ensure the accuracy of orders. Reports any problems to management.
• Maintain Health Department guidelines to ensure food safety is the top priority.
• Oversee and assist in preparing food items per required menus and recipes. Inspects food and food preparation to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.
• Train, and coach team members to assist in developing a high performing team
• Report all employee and/or customer accidents, injuries, as well as loss or damage to property.
• Work alongside team members to ensure speed of service, product quality, and guest experience expectations are met.
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness standards to include equipment, floors, and walls,
• Maintain a neat personal appearance in accordance with company uniform and personal appearance policy.
• Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School diploma or High School Equivalence is required.
• One year of retail, fast food or sales management experience is required.
• Obtain and maintain Food Handlers and Food Safety Certification.
Knowledge and Skills:
• Exceptional leadership and customer service skills.
• Ability to develop and motivate team members.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such operation and maintenance instructions, as well as procedure manuals.
• Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills.
• Ability to write routine reports and to communicate effectively with customers and employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers
common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and work with minimum supervision.
• Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft products preferred Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Physical Demands
• Able to stand and/or walk for full shift.
• Able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds from ground to overhead, and/or 60 pounds from ground to waist level, up to thirty minutes of workday (i.e., assisting in stocking/maintaining inventory levels).
• May be required to climb a ladder and/or stool, kneel or crouch to store or retrieve materials and/or place or remove signs.
Working Conditions
• Employee performs approximately 95% of work indoors. Outside work will be required.
• Employee is exposed to intermittent indoor cold temperature extremes when working in the walk-in cooler and/or freezer.
Work Schedule
• Committed to work assigned hours.
• Must be able to work flexible hours (nights, weekends, and holidays)
