Compensation and Benefits:
Hiring Salary Range: $37,807. - $49,746. Full Salary Range: $37,807. - $67,655. Annually

Primary Duties/Brief Description of Work:
The Delinquent Revenue Assistant position will perform a wide variety of duties to identify, document, and collect delinquent Parking Violations, Miscellaneous Billings, and Special Assessments, assist in bankruptcy filings, and provide skip tracing research for the delinquent collections team. This position assists the collection team by working to resolve customer complaints by phone and in person. The duties of this position are geared around the collection of delinquent debt and any other duties assigned for the successful operation of the Collections Division. Attention to detail, adaptability to changing environments, and ability to work quickly, and efficiently are attributes the position requires.
The Delinquent Revenue Assistant is responsible for:
Skip tracing on NSF checks, delinquent assessments, and miscellaneous billing accounts; Perform extensive research to expedite the location of debtors; Make initial calls on numerous accounts before the accounts are escalated to the Delinquent Revenue Collector;
Data entry, research, and adjustments on assessments within the assessment billing system CLCS. This position has the responsibility of entering billing information to generate billings for assessment accounts and updating records in the NC Debt Setoff application.
Responsible for regular file transfers to and from third-party collection companies, and preparing and maintaining reports using Microsoft Word and Excel.
This job is Non-Exempt and is subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
