Job Description
The Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate Duties will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and providing excellent customer service to our client base.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods on assigned route
• Load, transport, and deliver items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner, according to the company's specifications
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles; account for any variances and communicate those to Warehouse Manager
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules
• Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients; communicate feedback to Warehouse Manager
• Maintain ongoing communication with Warehouse Manager
• Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs
• Unload goods as per client specifications and obtain delivery confirmations from each customer
• Accept payments for delivered items when applicable
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries
• Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
• Assist in delivery of product to events and set-up of event equipment, if scheduled
• Safely operate all the necessary equipment in work area
• Adhere to and enforce company specific safety policies
• Support the Warehouse Manager as needed
• Flexibility to perform other job-related tasks as deemed necessary by management Requirements and Qualifications
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and reliable automobile
• Must be able to pass a background and credit check, as well as drug screening
• Minimum 6 months of delivery driving experience
• Familiarity of local area
• Must be available Monday through Friday, also with flexibility to work weekend events when needed
• Must be able to lift cases/kegs of product up to 35lbs and stand/work up to 8 hours
• Strong time management and customer service skills
• Must be a team-player with a positive and friendly attitude
• Positive self-starter capable of finding solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Punctual and reliable
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
