Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled DeltaV Control Systems Engineer to join our team in supporting the design, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of DeltaV Distributed Control Systems (DCS) within complex industrial settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for system upgrades, process optimization, and ensuring seamless integration while adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, program, and maintain DeltaV DCS systems to fulfill operational and process control needs.
- Develop and implement control strategies, alarm management systems, and interlocks to guarantee safe and efficient operations.
- Conduct system upgrades, testing, and troubleshoot DeltaV hardware and software issues.
- Integrate DeltaV systems with various third-party systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and MES.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and instrumentation, to establish control system requirements.
- Create, update, and maintain control logic, graphics, and HMI interfaces within the DeltaV system.
- Monitor and analyze process control performance, implementing enhancements as necessary.
- Prepare and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for system validation.
- Provide technical support during commissioning, startup, and ongoing plant operations.
- Ensure GxP compliance and maintain documentation in line with regulatory and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Automation, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience with DeltaV DCS in industrial environments such as Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, Petrochemicals, or Manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of process control, automation technologies, and instrumentation.
- Proficient in DeltaV hardware and software configuration, including modules, logic, and alarms.
- Hands-on experience with communication protocols such as HART, Modbus, and OPC.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and integration with DCS.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex control issues and optimize system performance.
- Experience with FAT/SAT, commissioning, and startup processes.
- Knowledge of GMP, safety, and industry regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in process industries like Oil & Gas, Chemicals, or Pharmaceuticals.
- Knowledge of ISA standards for process control and automation.
- DeltaV system certification or training is a plus.
- Familiarity with virtualized environments and cybersecurity measures for control systems.
