Job Details
This role is integral to our finance department, where you will be responsible for managing and improving our demand planning processes. As our Demand Planner, you will work closely with various teams, including sales, supply chain, and operations to ensure that our company's financial targets are met. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced organization and play a pivotal role in our growth.
What will you be doing?
- Develop and execute demand plans using data analysis, market trends, and forecasting techniques
- Collaborate with sales, supply chain, and operations teams to adjust forecasts based on changes in demand and market trends
- Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
- Conduct monthly forecast maintenance
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the demand planning function
- Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
- Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.
Is your background a match?
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in demand planning/forecasting
- Prior experience working in the pet industry is a plus!
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to develop and refine advanced forecasting models
- Proficient in Excel, including experience creating advanced models with formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to align different teams on demand forecasts and shared business objectives
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset, able to anticipate challenges and adjust forecasts to meet dynamic business needs
- Clear communicator and influencer, capable of explaining complex data and insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and forecasting techniques
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
