Assistant: SC Procurement & Demand Planning
Overview: Candidate is responsible to provide support in processing purchase orders on suppliers to ensure timely and accurate procurement of different product lines. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, verifying order details, maintaining records to support the purchasing function, generating daily and weekly internal customer service reports as required by the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Processing:
- Receive and review purchase requisitions from various channels: direct orders, special projects and warehouse fulfillment.
- Verify order details including vendor location, product specifications and quantities.
- Supplier Coordination:
- Monitor order status and expedite orders as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues with suppliers regarding orders.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, receipts, and proformas.
- Update and manage the purchasing database.
- Quality Assurance:
- Assist in any issues related to damaged or incorrect shipments.
- Reporting creation:
- Create weekly reports for sales and other areas as requested.
Qualifications:
- Education in business or supply chain management is required.
- 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications: advanced excel proficiency is essential
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Analytical skills and ability for problem solving.
