Demand Writer and Negotiator - Direct Counsel, LLC

Direct Counsel has partnered with a highly regarded boutique law firm in Los Angeles, CA and is currently seeking a demand writer and negotiator. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of working for a civil litigation practice and have prior experience with drafting demand letters and negotiating cases. 

Requirements

• 2+ years of legal secretary experience at a litigation firm preferably a personal injury firm
• Strong writing skills.
• Intricate knowledge of state court procedures and deadlines.
• Ability to prepare complaints and discovery using templates and to file in State and Federal courts.
• Conducting legal research using resources like Lexis-Nexis
• Managing and organizing documents using document management systems
• Maintaining calendars, scheduling appointments, and managing deadlines
• Coordinating meetings and conference calls to be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
