About the Job
RestoreCore is seeking a skilled and experienced Demolition Technician to join our restoration team. As a Demolition Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing properties for demolition and assisting in the removal of drywall and other building materials. This position requires excellent attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the restoration team to develop effective demolition strategies, considering the unique characteristics and challenges of each project.
· Adhere to established timelines and project schedules to ensure efficient completion of demolition tasks.
· Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or questions.
· Conduct thorough inspections prior to demolition, identifying potential hazards and implementing appropriate safety measures.
· Use hand and power tools, such as hammers, saws, and crowbars, to dismantle and demolish structures while minimizing damage to surrounding areas.
· Safely and efficiently remove drywall, flooring, ceilings, and other building materials according to project requirements.
· Clean up debris and waste materials, ensuring the work area is left clean and organized after demolition activities.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or vocational training in construction, demolition, or a related field is a plus.
· Proven experience as a Demolition Technician or in a similar role within the restoration industry.
· Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Essential Functions:
The Demolition Technician must be able to exercise good judgment and carry out written and verbal instructions. Your job responsibilities also include extended hours as an essential function of your position because company workloads are subject to change regularly.
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, twist; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
