About the Job
Position Summary:
Dental Assistant primary tasks are chair side assisting with the dentist(s) and dental hygienist(s) such as handing the provider the proper materials and tools. Dental assistants prepare patients for the dentist's examination. Dental assistants operate X-ray machines and make impressions of a patient's mouth or teeth. They may also sterilize instruments, develop X-rays, and mix compounds for cleaning or filling teeth. Dental assistants will also schedule appointments, keep records, receive payments from patients, and order supplies.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Certificate from an accredited school for dental assisting.
3. Current Certificate for taking radiographs.
4. Expanded Duty certification preferable.
5. Certified Dental Assistant
6. Current CPR (BLS)
Experience
