We are hiring a FT dental assistant for our busy endodontic practice. Strongly recommend experience as a dental assistant. Fluent in Spanish would be a bonus. $52,000 - 67,000 annually depending on qualifications - benefits available.
Dental Assistant Recommendations:
Dental Assistant Recommendations:
- Certification or associate degree in an accredited dental assisting program.
- Mixing dental/endodontic cements and filling material.
- The Doctor takes ALL x-rays using electronic imaging - NO developing x-rays.
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Experience using computers for a variety of dental office tasks.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Consistently professional appearance and attitude.
- Strongly recommend living near (within 30 minute [or LESS] commute) Smithtown office location.
- Fluent in Spanish is a bonus.
Dental Assistant Responsibilities:
- Preparing patients for dental work.
- Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
- Recording treatment information legibly in patient records.
- Providing post-operative instructions as directed by the dentist.
- Caring for the dental equipment / operatory.
- Maintaining dental equipment and supply inventory. The doctor does all ordering personally.
