The Dental Assistant Supervisor position focuses on managing the clinical support team, ensuring that the team provides high-quality, patient-centered care. This role is ideal for experienced dental assistants who have strong leadership skills and a passion for ensuring high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Supervision & Development:
- Oversee and mentor the dental assistant team, ensuring they provide top-notch care.
- Provide onboarding, training, and ongoing education for clinical staff.
- Supervise daily activities, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure compliance with protocols.
- Serve as a mentor and coach, helping team members grow professionally.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Dental Manager, Site Directors, Dentists, Hygienists, and administrative teams (Phone/Welcome Team) to maintain efficient clinical processes.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between clinical support staff and other healthcare providers.
- Patient-Centered Care:
- Focus on delivering timely and high-quality care to patients.
- Ensure that all staff members are providing services aligned with the patient-centered care model.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certificate or diploma from an accredited dental assisting program.
- A valid state dental assistant license or certification.
- BLS/CPR Certification (must completed within 60 days of hire)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a dental assistant, with experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Written and oral communication skills for providing instruction, guidance, and feedback to other team members, as well as communicating with patients and other healthcare providers.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members, delegate tasks effectively, and resolve conflicts.
- Experience training and supervising clinical support team members.
- Experience with dental practice management software and electronic health records (EHR).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish/English.
- EFDA Certification
- Associate's degree in dental assisting or a related field.

Compensation:
- Hourly/Non-Exempt: Starting at $25.00 per hour for non-EFDA. Starting at $29.00 with EFDA certification.
- Bilingual Differential: Additionally, we offer $0.75 per hour as compensation for bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish.
- Weekend Differential: This position receives base hourly pay along with an extra $10.00 for each hour worked on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
