What you will be doing:
- Delivering quality patient care to every patient
- Performing dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Conducting patient assessments to determine oral health conditions and identify any issues or concerns
- Taking and recording patients' vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse rate
- Assisting with dental procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials to the dentist
- Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and providing recommendations for at-home care
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems such as Open Dental
- Following infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
- Collaborating with the dental team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Maintaining a caring and friendly environment that reinforces our company's core values
Qualifications you bring:
- Valid state license as a Dental Hygienist
- Knowledge of dental office procedures and practices
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients
- Attention to detail to accurately assess patient conditions and document findings
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
