Dental Hygienist - American Technology Consulting

WORK ENVORNMENT: Marion County Health Department or alternating school sitelocations.DRESS CODE: ScrubsTRAVEL: 10% of the time. May be assigned to a school site. Can ride with a stateemployee in a state vehicle. Normally will be an elementary school. Will be atthe school for the entire day, not travel required during business hours.TOOLS/EQUIPMENT: Dental hygiene tools, Eaglesoft and HMS computer softwareJOB DESCRIPTION:** Using dental instruments and hygiene equipment, performing dental prophylaxisand scaling and root planning.** Instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.** Assisting a high number of patients as required.** Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteers.SKILLS/EDUCATION NEEDED:**Must have a clear and current Florida Dental Hygiene license** Must have a current/active CPR certificate** Knowledge of dental terminology** Knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices** Skills using dental instruments and equipment and performing dentalprophylaxis and scaling and root planning.** Ability to instruct patients in preventive dental techniques.** Ability to work with dentists, assistants, student assistants and volunteersin a way that promotes teamwork and the betterment of the residents of MarionCounty** Bilingual (English/Spanish) – highly preferred** Pediatric Experience – highly preferred
