Job Title: Dental Office Manager
The Dental Office Manager will be responsible for managing the administrative and financial aspects of the dental office, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining a high level of patient care. The ideal
candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and prior experience in a dental or medical office setting.
Key Responsibilities:
● Office Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the dental office, including patient scheduling, appointment management, and staff coordination.
● Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise office staff (receptionists, billing personnel, etc.). Conduct performance evaluations and manage staff schedules.
● Patient Relations: Ensure a positive patient experience by addressing concerns, managing wait times, and improving patient flow.
● Financial Management: Manage billing and collections, handle insurance claims, oversee accounts payable/receivable, and ensure proper coding procedures.
● Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, ensure HIPAA compliance, and adhere to state and federal healthcare regulations.
● Inventory Management: Order and track office supplies and dental materials. Manage vendor relationships.
● Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial and operational reports to ensure the practice is running efficiently.
● Technology & Systems: Manage office management software, troubleshoot technical issues and implement new systems to improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or business preferred.
● At least 3-5 years of experience in a dental or medical office management role.
● Familiarity with dental terminology, billing, and insurance procedures.
● Excellent leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
● Strong knowledge of dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, EagleSoft).
● Outstanding communication and customer service abilities.
Preferred Skills:
● Certified Dental Office Manager (CDOM) certification is a plus.
● Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Compensation: $30 an hour with PTO, Medical and Vision
Location: Fontana, CA
