Dentist - Family Health Center - Valleywise Health System

Under the direction and guidance of the Director of Dentistry, our Dentist provide clinical dentistry services and dental health education following established dentistry standards, procedures, and practices and gives specific dental care directions to Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Resident and Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health students. Participate with AEGD annual candidate interview and selection process. Additionally, will participate with AEGD Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) preparation and guideline incorporation, patient examination, diagnosis, planning, treatment, and follow-up of patients within the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners. Adjunct faculty for appropriate post-graduate and undergraduate teaching programs.

Annual Salary Range: $133,057.60 - $196,268.80

Qualifications:
Education:

• Requires graduation from a School of Dentistry accredited by the ADA.

Experience:

• Prefer up to three (3) years experience in civilian or military practice as a Dentist.
• Prefer three (3) or more years of experience as a public health Dentist.

Specialized Training:

• Prefer dental undergraduate and post-graduate educational program management.

Certification/Licensure:

• Must be actively licensed by the Arizona Board of Dental Examiners.
• Must have a current BLS, ACLS, or PALS certification. A BLS, ACLS, or PALS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is preferred and will be required within 3 months.
• Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety OR submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must possess good organizational, problem solving and computer skills.
• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and other contacts.
• Must have good business acumen.
• Must be able to use reference tools to evaluate patient care and answer questions posed by customers.
• Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English. Bilingual is preferred.
• Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people.
