Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Director/Nurse Manager, coordinates operations in relation to staffing, auditing, scheduling and file maintenance of all competency and educational requirements of the staff. Coordinates the orientation of new Unit Secretaries and functions in that role within the area assigned to him/her when necessary. Performs clerical tasks that include supplies management and maintenance of all records in relation to the floor. Performs payroll and tracking of time and attendance. Performs audits and additional clerical duties as required by department operations.
Position Qualification:
- Previous office management experience preferred.
- Medical Terminology course or the equivalent experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with all levels in the organization
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge Hospital scheduling and payroll guidelines.
- Excellent Organizational and time management skills
- Excellent Computer Skills, Microsoft Applications proficiency ability to learn new applications
- Maintains professional competency by participating in continuing education and appropriate learning experience.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- High school Diploma, required, Bachelors Healthcare related field or equivalent work experience preferred
Language Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) in English.
- Ability to write legibly (Clinical Areas).
- Additional languages desirable.
