About the Job
This position is a dedicated resource for all Member Subscriber Agreements and Agency to Agency Talkgroup Permission Agreements. The Department Analyst Trainee position will function at an entry level position for a variety of Business Support Services providing critical responsibilities for public safety which includes interacting with internal and external teams process, evaluate, monitor, investigate, validate, create, execute, or renew and track the QA/QC Member Subscriber Agreements, Agency to Agency Talkgroup Permission Agreements, and Division policies and procedures. This position will also be analyzing and researching current Business Unit operation policies and operation procedures to make recommendations that will achieve greater efficiencies. This position will work independently to analyze and manage all workflows assigned to them.
The office of Michigan's Public Safety Communications System (MPSCS) has a focused mission of providing statewide public safety communications for more than 2,237 state, local, federal, tribal and private public safety agencies. Through our employees, MPSCS handles the second-largest trunked communication system in the world with 346 tower sites, 127 state and local public safety dispatch centers with 765 radio dispatch consoles and 82 Computer Aided Dispatch consoles, 149,152 radios and 9,486 fire pagers. The MPSCS Network Communication Center (NCC) monitors systems operations 24 hours a day to ensure the system is ready to assist Michigan's first responders. The function of any public safety communications system is to assure the rapid response and cooperation of emergency personnel. The MPSCS achieves this through reliable, easy-to-use statewide coverage and advanced technology. The ability to share information on demand and in real time, whether it is voice or data, is critical to public safety in Michigan.

Position Location: This position is located in Dimondale, MI. This position may work a hybrid (remote/office) schedule with 2 days required in the office per week. Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.

Departmental Analyst 10
One year of professional experience.
Departmental Analyst P11
Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
Departmental Analyst 12
Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.
Alternate Education and Experience
Departmental Analyst (Departmental Trainee 9) 9 - 12
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
