Duties & Responsibilities:
- The Deployed Equipment Manager (DEM) shall assist with establishing theater policy and operational procedural guidance for effective equipment management.
- The Deployed Equipment Manager shall consult with 9 AF leadership on Materiel Management requirements in support of current and emergent operations, deployments, exercises, and Operation Plan (OPLAN) execution.
- The Deployed Equipment Manager will provide analytical assistance in managing the deployed equipment program for approximately 413,000 assets. This support includes loaned, transferred, and WRM equipment deployed to operational contingency locations. Assist Equipment Accountability Elements (EAEs) throughout the Area of Responsibility (AOR).
- The DEM shall oversee Small Arms/Light Weapons (SA/LW), Communication Security (COMSEC), Special Purpose Recoverable Authorized Maintenance (SPRAM), In-Use equipment accounts and all other equipment related transactions across nine Area of Responsibility (AOR) locations and ensure MAJCOM-level requirements are met and in compliance.
- The DEM shall synchronize logistic actions and support aircraft serviceability, ground equipment support, mobility, munition, and air transportation capabilities within the 9AF AFCENT theater.
- Assist with providing guidance and advice to 9AF AFCENT Functional Area Managers (FAMs), 9AF AFCENT A4R Division Chief, 9AF AFCENT Supply Program Manager, 9AF AFCENT Forward Staff and deployed supply leadership at all USAF locations in the USCENTCOM AOR in regard to properly managing and accounting for all deployed equipment assets.
- Coordinate equipment related actions/transactions with the Supply Chain Operations Wing (SCOW) and Supply Chain Operations Squadron (SCOS).
- The DEM will review and coordinate equipment authorization requests and redistribution orders with the respective FAM. Actions include retrieving approval/disapproval for requests and forwarding to 440 SCOS for approval/processing.
- The DEM shall assist Deployed Equipment Management across the theatre with the movement and tracking of equipment for inter/intra-theater purpose.
- The DEM shall monitor, analyze, and assess metrics and interpret computer listings to ensure all records of equipment authorizations and redistributions are accurately maintained.
- The DEM shall assist Equipment Managers with training newly assigned personnel across nine AOR locations to include 9AF AFCENT duties/responsibilities/processes and provide necessary documentation to obtain access to applicable supply systems/database.
- The DEM will utilize Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Ability to deploy TDY to forward locations within the AFCENT AOR.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in logistics software, databases, and spreadsheet applications (e.g., ERP systems, MS Office).
- Knowledge of military logistics operations, regulations, and procedures is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Minimum Experience and Education:
- Secret Security Clearance
- Two years' experience with technical capability to utilize the following supply USAF database programs: Logistics Installations & Mission Support - Enterprise View (LIMS-EV), Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), Web Federal Logistics Information System (WEBFLIS), and Integrated Logistics System-Supply (ILS-S).
- Four years of USAF Materiel Management experience.
- Three years of USAF Equipment Management experience
- No experience with Bachelor's degree in related field (i.e., logistics, supply chain management).
- Or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years' relevant experience.
