Shift Details: 300PM to 1130PM
DESCRIPTION:
The primary function of the Deployment Planner is make sure the right product is available at the Distribution Centers (DCs) at the right time and in the right quantities. This role will require the candidate interface with internal resources at the DCs and Plants in addition maintaining relationships with Commercial team and logistics. In addition excellent communication skills, a planner needs be proactive and plan for shortage and delay situations and be able make informed allocations decisions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Distribution Center Planned Order Release.
Manage DC Exception Messages.
Maintain Master Data and Item attributes.
Excess & Obsolete review & update blank reason codes.
EOL Product Management.
Analyze inventory levels & product demand recommend SS levels.
Maintenance & management of master data & order modifiers for MPS planned items.
Review BP-ICU Internal Pegged tend Report determine shipping priorities & coordinate production priorities with Mses.
Communicate late supply demand planning for sales over FCST orders.
Make inventory deployment decisions based on products and customer orders.
Review DC contract / portal inventory & SS requirements.
Work with and / or provide service feedback demand planning for FCST performance at the DC.
Make deployment and logistics decisions for material leaving their plant and DCs (shipping method, shipping location flipping orders).
Accountable performance KPIs in the assigned DCs:
Past due customer orders
Past due IOs
Count of line orders late
SS performance (weeks of supply)
E&O
Inventory Turns
Service levels
Coordinating with site production planning for firm work order releases (weekly).
Release of internal orders for distribution centers.
Update of estimated ship dates on sales orders for distribution centers.
External sales order risk mitigation and reason code updates for distribution centers (expedites, re-sourcing, etc.).
Identify and help resolve material shortages, capacity constraints, operational bottlenecks, and backlog.
Works with site planning and purchasing on weekly and monthly operations and service KPIs.
Works with marketing on product life cycles and SKU rationalization.
Interfaces stop for supply planning process.
Work on special assignments as they arise.
Knowledge & Skills
Familiar with MPS and production planning and execution strategies (run rate planning, make order, make stock, make forecast, configure order, etc.)
Familiar with managing and setting inventory planning strategies (safety stock, MIN MAX, DOS, MOQ, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Bachelor’s degree with Supply Chain, Business, or relevant field of studies from an accredited college or university is required.
1-3 years of Supply Chain experience.
Familiar with MPS and production planning and execution strategies
Familiar with managing and setting inventory planning strategies (safety stock, MIN MAX, DOS, MOQ, etc.)
Familiar with managing inventory and requirements at a distribution center.
APICS certification preferred.
Work Environment
This is largely a sedentary role.
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.
