Deposit Operations Associate

We are seeking a full-time Deposit Operations Associate to join our team and work on-site at our Lightstreet Community Office.
Essential Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of duties to support the deposit operations function, including but not limited to:
- Process inquiries and maintenance accounts and files.
- Process information and files for all types of bank deposit accounts; verifies information and ensures accounts are properly established to provide accurate record keeping.
- Performs various duties relating to deposit account and related products.
- Inputs data on the system consistent with established procedures.
- Makes necessary corrections and re-enters data as required.
- Scan deposit account information; ensures that all accounts are properly maintained.
- Research and process all inquiries from customers and bank personnel relating to deposit account information and related products.
- Assists in the proper maintenance of all deposit account processing equipment; reports malfunctions and problems to supervisor.
- Assists the Deposit Operations Supervisor, Manager, and other deposit operations positions, as needed.
- Backs up the morning and nightly processing functions as part of a rotation, as needed.
Requirements: The selected candidate must have the following skills:
- A high school diploma or equivalent with preference for advanced degree and/or training in business or financial related field of study.
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in a banking or related position normally required.
- Excellent verbal communication, including strong grammar and vocabulary skills; excellent active listening skills. Ability to deal with conflict and maintain composure. Proficiency using personal computer and all bank software applications. Ability to take ownership of customer inquiries as well as initiative to build an expert-level knowledge of bank products and procedures.
Cooperates with, participates in, and promotes the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety, soundness, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This includes annual Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training and complying with all BSA rules and regulations as the pertain to the job position within the Bank.
Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week, flexible to work additional hours as needed.
