Salary: $90,000 to Depends on Experience (DOE)

Location: Boise, Idaho. As Idaho’s capital, Boise is a growing city of approximately 226,570 and serves as headquarters for several major national and international corporations. Boise offers a rich variety of both cultural and recreational opportunities. Idaho’s world-famous fly-fishing, skiing, kayaking and hiking are all within easy access. Housing costs are moderate.

Primary Duties: This position within the Office of the Attorney General will primarily support the Department of Health and Welfare Division of Medicaid. Areas of practice include advice and counsel related to division programs based in federal and state law including Medicaid benefits and operations, long term care, and developmental disabilities. This position works closely with other DAGs in the HHS Division and staff from other Divisions within the Office of Attorney General. Other duties may include limited litigation, contract review and drafting, legislative analysis, administrative rule drafting and analysis, administrative actions, appeals, review of policies, advising on public records law, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Member of the Idaho State Bar. Strong research, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Two years or more of legal experience. Medicaid and/or health care industry knowledge preferred.
