The NV5 Parsippany office is looking for a future leader for its Environmental Engineering Group. With a strong focus on Transportation, our Environmental Engineering Group provides high quality Ecology, Cultural Resources and Remediation project design for some of the largest NJ and NY clients.
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Deputy Director of Environmental, who can utilize their depth and breadth of experience to help grow the current group with the opportunity to become a future leader. This is an amazing opportunity to work with a team of diverse professionals on a variety of projects in the public and private sector.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 15+ years of experience focused on either Ecology or Cultural Resources support for NJDOT, NJTA or other local agencies.
- Project/Task Management experience with a proven record of cost and quality control.
- Understanding of how Environmental Tasks fit into the overall delivery of complex Transportation Projects.
- Willingness to take ownership and responsibility for tasks within the Group
- Demonstrated business development and client management experience
- Strong leadership, team building, mentoring and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
- Experience with developing EIS and EA documentation.
- Appropriate qualifications for the specialized aspect of work (Ecology or Cultural Resources)
- Experience with US Army Corps of Engineers, New Jersey and New York permitting.
- Experience working on NYDOT, NJTP and NJDOT projects preferable.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Experience in managing junior staff, tasks and projects
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license prior to employment
NV5 offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, 401(k) and professional development/advancement opportunities.
Compensation: $130,000- $160,000 per year
Base pay offered for this Ney Work based role may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
