We are seeking a motivated candidate to fill a full time, permanent position as a Dermatology Technician (DT) for our growing dermatology department. Candidates must be available to work Monday-Friday between the hours of 7am-6pm. It is the responsibility of the DT to maintain the communication lines between the doctor and client, provide daily financial and medical updates on all in-hospital patients, and handle client phone calls and questions. A DCT must also manage the doctor’s appointments, schedule the doctor’s procedures, and oversee patient treatments. They are responsible for monitoring and treating patients, keeping detailed records for all patients when needed and preparing procedures when needed.

This position requires a very organized and dependable individual, who can manage multiple tasks at the same time with a great deal of positive energy in a fast-paced environment with moderate stress. Superior communication skills and excellent client service skills are paramount. The DCT must be willing to go the extra mile for the clients and patients, and have a “Can Do” attitude. Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 2 years’ experience in a veterinary clinic environment. Previous experience in administering medications, phlebotomy, anesthesia monitoring and recovery, collection and reading of cytologies are a must.

Compensation is based on experience and ranges from $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
