Andromeda Systems Incorporated (ASI) has opportunities for experienced aircraft structural design engineers capable of preparing and releasing engineering data related to new product development in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. These positions are onsite at the customer’s Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area facility.

Responsibilities:
- Create revisions to detail parts and assemblies. Additionally, the designer may be asked to mature design concepts in support of a revision or new part release when a revision is not the appropriate avenue for change
- Update detail, assembly, and installation CAD models and engineering for the airframe
- Assist in researching technical data and developing solutions for the project or assignment
- Coordinate with other engineering, manufacturing, or specialty personnel to resolve problems and execute revision routing
- Specific tasks include supporting the development of product changes and improvements, responding to data/action requests from procurement, manufacturing, tooling etc., preparation of engineering change requests and change orders, and engineering drawing maintenance
- Apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of work experience in structural design
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
- Proficiency with GD&T and general part sizing
- Proficient in 3DX CAD and PLM processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must have the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively, verbally and in writing, to coordinate design activities, prioritize tasks, and report status to design leads and program management
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in airframe structural design experience
- Experience with
- Bell Helicopter and/or tilt-rotor aircraft
- Metallic and composite design
- CATIA composite workbench
- CATIA V5/V6 and Enovia
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and qualify for Secret Clearance
