Position Overview: The Design Engineer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing our products from concept through production. This position requires a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles, experience with CAD software like SolidWorks, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be innovative, technically skilled, and committed to enhancing product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and cost targets.
- Conduct design analysis, including tolerance analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and design for manufacturability (DFM) to validate product designs.
- Prepare and review 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation to support the product development process.
- Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure successful product launches.
- Assist in creating and maintaining product specifications, design standards, and documentation.
- Participate in design reviews, providing technical input to ensure designs align with engineering best practices and industry standards.
- Support prototyping and testing activities, analyzing test results to refine designs and ensure they meet performance criteria.
- Collaborate with suppliers to specify materials and manufacturing processes that support cost-effective and high-quality product development.
- Troubleshoot design issues and implement solutions to improve product performance and reliability.
- Stay current on industry trends, materials, and design methodologies to bring innovative solutions to the team.
- Identify and implement opportunities for design automation to improve efficiency within the product development process.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field required.
- 2-5 years of experience in product development or mechanical design, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CAD software, such as SolidWorks, for 3D modeling and drawing creation.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with design analysis tools, such as FEA, and design for manufacturability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with design automation tools and processes is a plus.
